International Hotel chain, Best Western, has opened a three-star hotel in Kisumu.
The hotel, situated at the Lake Basin Mall adds to an already exciting hospitality sector in the Lakeside City.
In a post on Lake Basin Mall Facebook page, the hotel said, “Our rooms are modern made with double glazed windows, therefore no external interference. With ample parking and 24 hour security surveillance, we are the ideal hub for the business and leisure traveler,”
The hotel chain already has a footprint in Kenya with Best Western Plus Meridian in the City Centre and Executive Residency by Best Western® along Riverside Drive.
Best Western has over 4,000 hotels in 100 plus countries across the world. In 2015, the hotel chain announced plans to set up a hotel in Kisumu. The hotel says it does a lot of referral business from across its hotels around the world, so by the time a tourist or business traveler is coming to Kenya, they can book their branded hotels.
Kisumu is already served by a number of hotels including Acacia Premier Hotel, Imperial Hotel, Jumuia Hotel, Grand Royal Swiss Hotel, Impala Ecolodge, Sovereign Hotel among others.
With the government keen on opening up Kisumu and the entire of western Kenya for business and tourism, business travelers and tourists will be spoilt for choice in the wide selection these hotels provide.
