World’s aerospace industry is currently congregated in United Arab Emirates (UAE) for the Dubai Airshow 2019. The event is the world’s largest meeting place for the aerospace industry, with exhibits and aircraft from over 1,300 suppliers.
The event officially opened on Sunday, November 17, 2019 and will run through to Thursday, November 21, 2019.
Kenya’s budget airline, Jambojet, is the only exhibitor from Kenya at the show. The airline will showcase its latest addition to the fleet, Katibu (5Y-JXI), which was delivered in late October. The Jambojet team is lead by MD and CEO Allan Kilavuka at the show.
The show began in 1986 as Arab Air. It has since grown and evolved to become one of the largest and most important aerospace events in the world. It showcases the latest and greatest in military, general and commercial aviation.
The show is hosted at the Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC).
