Lifeline Laboratories, the local distributor of Sure Lubricated Condoms has recalled the product due to quality issues.
In a notice to all parties concerned, Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KeMSA), asked the parties to accord Lifeline Laboratories the necessary cooperation in order to conclude the process successfully.
The product, which is manufactured by Innolatex Limited in Thailand is supplied through KeMSA locally. On its website, Innolatex Limited says, “Our products meet all major international standards including ISO 4074, WHO and European Standard.”
It further states that it adopts strict Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) following FDA/ISO requirements.
The KeMSA notice dated 12th September, 2019 quotes the affected products’ batch numbers as 17DN754 and 17DN052 whose expiry dates are 31/08/2022 and 31/12/2021.
